A fresh start

I've decided it's time to start something new.
Learning to Garden was a good blog while I was living in Victoria, and had a garden that needed a fair amount of attention.  Now that I'm here in San Francisco and have a spot in the garden that is only two feet square, I am finding that my posts are no longer about gardening.  They are, instead, about being me in a giant, new city with lots of fun things going on.
So here we are - Fairy Tales of the City.
A little on the name:  I have a friend here who called me Snow White one day and is convinced that birds must dress me in the morning.  To be fair, I like the outdoors, and I like to do things myself.  However, as much as I love Snow White, my friend got her fairy tales confused and mixed a little Cinderella in there too!  Hence the Fairy Tales part.
As some of you may know, there is a series of books by Armstead Maupin set in San Francisco called Tales of the City.  I'm hooked on it.  I'm three books in now and my favourite part about it is that I know so many of the places that the characters go!
Now, together, we have Fairy Tales of the City.  My new blog about living, crafting, adventuring, volunteering, and yes, gardening too in San Francisco.
